Icecrown Citadel, Movements

  • Instance: Icecrown Citadel

    • Sindragosa
Rimefang will from now on stay attackable after a reset.
Sindragosa will from now on regularly test, whether the tank is in line of sight. Without being line of sight Sindragosa can’t do melee damage towards the tank. Hence, in this situation the tank will be teleported to the position of Sindragosa to prevent taking advantage of this mechanism. The line of sight is usually interrupted by the ice tombs during the fight.

    • Lich King
Until now, the Lich King stopped his enrage timer during the phase transition. With the help of video sources it could be proven that this behaviour was wrong. This has been fixed.

  • Spells: General changes within the movement system
Again, significant changes within the movement system and the corresponding calculations have been implemented. Primarily, the following effects of spells are affected:

    • Knockback
Due to yesterday’s change some spells with knockback effect were not working properly. This bug should now be fixed.

    • Fear
In general, the calculation of positions during the fear effect has been improved. From now on it should happen significantly less that you are able to penetrate walls and ceilings. Regarding battlegrounds and arenas the calculations have been provided with special values so that the position testing from now on needs to be more accurately maintained.

    • Charge
Regarding charge effects a testing has been implemented, which scans the ground and tries to detect, whether or not a target can be charged at all. Furthermore, the calculation of the target position has been improved so that the falling through the map should be prevented in many situations.
"There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man."
(Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man's Fear)
