Fusion of World of Paranoid to WoW-Castle

Welcome to all new players!

At last, after extensive preparations
the WotLK realm of World of Paranoid will merge with
the WotLK realm WoW-Castle.

For the current scheduled time period a
down time of the game server of 3 to 4 hours is expected.

Here are the basic information regarding the fusion:

As a merging of character data always involves complicated problems, a rough explanation of the most important aspects follows.
For some of you these information are hopefully useful.

  • Accounts

    WoW-Castle has an automatic deletion of game accounts, which have been inactive for more than 2 years (meaning, not been logged in). Therefore, with the fusion all game accounts will be taken, which have been active in the last 2 years. There is no possibility to merge older accounts afterwards.

    If a player cannot log in regularly with a merged game account after the completion of the fusion, it may be that this game account name already exists on WoW-Castle or it contains special characters. In this case, these players please get in contact with the GM team via the IRC-Chat, as in this situation we have to manually set new game account names and passwords.

  • Names – Special Characters

    All names on WoW-Castle may not contain any special characters. In this connection we talk especially about names of pets, guilds and characters.

    For pets and guilds these special characters will be replaced automatically during the fusion. Character names with special characters automatically get a rename with the next login and can choose a new name for their characters.

  • Names – Double Occupancy

    Additionally, for guilds and characters double occupancies can occur (similar to the game accounts). Guilds of WoW-Castle have a priority in this case and the merged guilds will be renamed.

    For the characters an automatic algorithm will ensure that characters with lower levels will not block the names of characters with higher levels (in both directions up to certain limit values).

    Should there be a legitimate interest to change the name of a necessarily renamed merged guild, the guild master can request it via the IRC-Chat and have a discussion with the GM team.

  • Items - Bags

    At WoW-Castle the big 28 slot and 36 slot bags are not available. These bags will automatically be replaced by 22 slot bags during the fusion and items, which have been on the remaining slots of the affected bags, will automatically be sent back via mail. There will be voting points as compensation for the bags according to a pre-defined formula. These can be cashed in in the vote shop.

  • Spells and Achievements

    All spell and achievements will be cleared up by a whitelist procedure. This means, only spells and achievements remain, which are on the whitelist. All the other entries will automatically be erased.

    Furthermore, there will be a check, whether spells and achievements are a match with the character’s fraction. If necessary, there will also be an automatic adjustment and the right entry for the character will be entered.

    For a few mounts and items, which will also be removed in this connection, you will get voting points as compensation according to a pre-defined formula. Again, these can be cashed in in the vote shop.

  • Ingame Rules

    Naturally, with this fusion arise new ingame rules for the merged players. Therefore, it is highly recommended to carefully read the Set of Rules WoW-Castle .
